Madness Stupid Company Car Drivers

I look after all the vehicles for my company and I have the dumbest drivers in the world!!!
Today I have a phone call that one of the drivers has had a little 'prang'.
When i turned up on the hard shoulder (M25 Jn 8-7 anti Clockwise) I couldn't see the car, just the driver.........
The stupid ****er had rolled the car down the enbankment, and it has caught fire!!
That's not the worst of it....
The police turned up on site after the fire service put it out and did the usuall questions and comments, when the officer said 'do you have anything to add' he said and i quote 'yes, I would like to state that I wasz bullied at schoole and i saw the bullie and tried to get himmm bak!" hmmm not the cleverest comment
So the officer decided to do a breth test and after the result went stight to red, my guy legged it!!
30 mins later he was arrested.
Now me and my MD is waiting for a prosacution and notice of court action!

How dumb can you be if you drive for a living!!!!!!!!!

(Sorry I had to rant, I've got sooo much paperwork to do!! )

Boxing Re: Stupid Company Car Drivers

People like that don't deserve to drive cars and hopefully he won't be for a very long time!

I would have been tempted to chuck him on the fire and save the taxpayer money prosecuting him. Might also save the lives of innocent drivers in other cars or pedestrians etc.

Sometimes I wish I was a benelovant dictator - who wants me as boss?

Re: Stupid Company Car Drivers

That person is a fool.

You have to "look after" the company cars?
Can't the drivers do it themselves?!?

These are Essentual user cars, they come under company vehicle rulling, They are made for site use (Reflective markings, Amber warning lights ect)

Re: Stupid Company Car Drivers

Just a very quick point but, if memory serves (from when I used to be in charge of many peope and following excellent management training). If you are conducting an investigation into the incident, I think the person in question should be suspended ON FULL PAY. To suspend them with no pay is to punish them for something that you are currently investigating and, by definition, not sure of the person's culpability (however "cut and dried" it appears to be.

In these litigious times it might be worth checking!

Hmmm, I'll have to check on that with our HR.
I wasn't the one to suspend him, I not allowed that power !!!!!!

Re: Stupid Company Car Drivers

Do you see what I mean?

Suspend with pay = investigation with person "out of the way" to decide whether "guilty" or not
Suspend with no pay = punishment when guilty

You may get some brownie points with HR if you point it out!!

What, a Romulan freighter? Didn't think the Romulans had good enough cloaking ability to evade the cameras on the M25.
