Madness My Worst Month of Car Ownership so far...

I have to say, using a bike is looking more and more tempting, even cycling the 16 miles to work and back in this heat has got to be better than me owning a car right now....

Firstly, last month, my 2.0 Twin Spark gave up the ghost, whilst I was doing 60mph on the motorway, failed water pump and blown head gasket = not good...repairs estimated at £1600 - £1800..ouch.

So I do what any decent Alfa owner would do, say sod it, ''I'll buy a V6 instead'', so I got rid of the Twinny and bought a 156 2.5 V6, which is mint..

Secondly, 2 weeks ago, my shared car (with the missus) gets broken into buy some scummy chavs at the train station, it's a brilliant Ford Sport KA, which is only 2 years old, but the gits decide to crow bar the door and try and steal it, luckily the immobiliser does it's job and they leave it, but not until they've peeled the drivers door back and smashed the fuse cover...

Lastly, yesterday, i indicate to turn right at a junction in my 2.5 and a van hits my rear drivers side from behind, spins me 180 degrees and leaves us on the opposite side of the road facing the now oncoming traffic. Luckily (or unluckily depending on the circumstances) my girlfriend was there to calm me down, otherwise Mr Van driver would of needed life support, it really has topped off the worst month of Car ownership so far me.

If anyone knows of some Husky dogs and a sledge, I'll pay good money, because it's got to be better than this....

Rant over....

Always outnumbered, never outgunned

V6, thankfully is still drivable, but the repair cost is £650.00, it needs a whole new back bumper and then costs involved to put on/spray etc

At the moment it's the brilliant situation of letting the insurance companies deal with it...oh joy
