Innapropriate use ?

Recently our local traffic wardens took delivery of a scooter, the idea being that a mobile warden could respond quickly to problems.
Not so it seems, said scooter has just entered my residential car park and warden is going round checking tax discs, unbeleivable.

Re: Innapropriate use ?

It gives them another IT System that they can use to sell/loose peoples details using, send demands to the wrong person and just generally ***** up...

Re: Innapropriate use ?

I like the idea that its getting harder to dodge paying now, but having wardens check by scooter is wrong. Its not their job to check for up to date discs.

Re: Innapropriate use ?

Can't see the point of him or her zapping along to a major parking infraction on a scooter. I mean, what can they do apart from slap a ticket on? That's hardly taking control of the situation is it. Now a mobile car crusher would work nicely...

Sorry I know that wasn't the point, but interested me. You'd think, in these times of economic woe that they would make them walk rather than go around estates on a put put. Or maybe that's it - he's been told he has to increase revenue in order to fill her up!

Re: Innapropriate use ?

Could be H&S getting involved, ie not allowed to walk anywhere now due to personal injury claims for things like blisters
