`earache!`

Was laid low yesterday,
could not do a thing,
not even join the forum
all because my
ear decided that it
would go on an
anti Luddite day,
Lord knows how the creatures
manage.
To day it`s just playing silly b******
Hissing ans popping.

I am not a happy chappie.

Re: `earache!`

Oooh that's bad news John.

A friend of mine is having a bad time at the moment suffering from tinitus and the docs don't know what's causing it.

It would drive me absolutely insane, because there's no escaping it.

Re: `earache!`

I used to get earache a lot, then I got divorced and it went away.

Seriously John, hope that you're beginning to feel better. My mum used to warm a handkerchief to hold against the offending ear, can't remember if it cured it but it felt nice.

Re: `earache!`

Poor old John! Sounds like the pool water mixed with the wax mate, get it looked at by your doctor, probably needs syringing is all.

Make sure you see the quack though, just in case you have a perforation of the eardrum

hi,Max

I would feel guilty of clogging up
the Doc;waiting room.
Though I think I shall have too purchase
A wax cleaner from local
chemist if it persists.

John.
Wouldn't feel guilty at all John. I've had my ears syringed a few times in the past and although it feels weird for a little while the results were truly astonishing. I have a feeling though that these days the docs aren't keen to do it for some reason.

As you suggest try the over the counter remedies for a start, you may be surprised at the debris this may release and hopefully get rid of the the root cause of what may be an infection. Hope you get sorted soon.

Re: `earache!`

How's the ear now? Much cheaper option is to use warmed olive oil and use a dropper to pop in, stay with head on side for 10mins and then sit up again. Recommended to me by my GP, before syringing next week. (This has been a life-long issue of mine)

Aye... though a more masculine fragrance would be nice for when I use the solution these days

Re: `earache!`

Well, apparently instead of splashing it on your face, pour some in your ears and you'll be fine!!

Need me to shout?

Re: `earache!`

Good good. I would recommend olive oil whenever it starts to feel a bit dodgy, especially if you are a regular water babe
