Hillary benn

I read this in the London Lite on the way home Fine for him to say this when most people earn in a year, less than MP's can claim in expenses in a year. I accept that I do not need to drive a 3.2 GTA, but fuel prices and road tax hikes are hitting people with family cars that cannot do without them the most.

Yet another one who is totally out of touch with what goes on in Britain.

How can it encourage people to use their cars less?

My workplace isn't going to move closer to my home no matter how nicely I ask it. So I need petrol whatever the price does, unless some alternative is given.

I can't remember the last uk.gov
minister I had any respect for.

Robin Cook maybe?

Anyone heard about the rumoured protest on Nov 5th
where protestors are going to turn up in parliament
square in "V For Vendetta" outfits?

What a joyous sight that'd be......

I think Hillary's dad must be ashamed of him. Old Wedgie's son is nothing more than a closet Tory.
Agree Nev, the late Robin Cook, Clare Short, and Harold Wilson, who stood against the US, and kept our troops out of Vietnam.

I think he is one of these that lives in a fairytale land where, everybody in the country has access to a regular public transport system that can get them within a few minutes of theor workplace... or maybe he is just happy like the rest of them to take their ill gotten gains form the taxpayer.

And even if you do, it's eye-poppingly expensive.

Also on VED:
"'Three out of four cars sold in the country are second-hand cars, so it's important you have a change that also applies to the second-hand market.'"

Well done Einstein. So what happens to these second hand cars which no-one is buying? Dipstick.

In what way is he a Tory. If only he was. Its the pretentious, PC Socialist junk of a government that's the problem.

NuLabour is hardly a socialist government.

The only difference between NuLabour and the
Tory Party are that NuLabour waste more tax money
on bonkers PFI schemes whilst the Tories would earmark
even more tax money to give to their big business chums.

Their actual polices are 99% identical.

They certainly are Nev, and if I was a conspiracy theorist, I would say that these people are trying to make the Labour party unelectable for the forseeable future, by destroying them from within.
