Not in the same league at all, but an illustration.
The other day:
Bought new monitor becuase thought old one was broken - continued to not work
Tomtom fell off windscreen and broke
Forgot I was parked next to a jutting out kerb in a car park and drove over it, possibly damaging car
The very next day:
Sorted out monitor with a bit of fiddling. Also saw a way to probably sort out the old one too.
Got TomTom replaced by shop with surprising lack of bother
Remembered to check sill of car (I'd refused to when I did it, because there was nothing I could do, and it'd just make me feel bad) - it was fine
Got info from Paypal saying I could be refunded in a long-running dispute.
Obviously these are all minor things compared to yours, but it's amazing how things can turn around if you just keep on going
147V: Your day, to my sensibilities at least, seems worse than the original posters. Hope things take an upturn for you soon, and you're welcome to a virtual bearhug from me if it'll help.
