I was over in Solihull on the 16th of this month. Sonís birthday so booked a table at a restaurant that he likes.
Anyway, during the time there I managed to get a parking ticket. Fair, hold my hands up and admit it. Thatís not the problem.
Problem is. On the ticket machines it states that the penalty is £40.00. On the ticket it states £50. (Pay it within 14 days and you only pay half).
So tried to pay it through Solihull website. Not allowing me to do that cos I don't have an account number!! No number on the PCN that refers to an account number.
Called the number on the back of the notice and thatís an incorrect number (it states 24/7) yeah right "the office is now closed"...
Finally got the right number (looks like a number of printing errors on the penalty charge notice form) and thatís asking for a 7 digit reference number. Nothing on the PCN.
Its bad enough trying to get a parking space so no other toad bangs your doors. Don't mind paying the fine, its the inconsistencies of the ticket that has hacked me off.
Right, off to put the little one to bed then itís the whisky I think.
