Heh heh! Personally, I love the advert!
We have a Golf (and now a Brera, too
) and you guys are right - the Golf IS everyday, but that is the point of the advert.
For me, it's a rare piece of advertising that captures (or is honest enough to portray) the highs, lows and pure middle of the road normality of 99% of car ownership (especially in the UK)! We were watching it the other night and it maps almost exactly
to our life - work, traffic, mates, nights out, trips to the beach, the odd argument en-route!! - our Golf has been great for that. Doesn't necessarily feel special, but it's been a good "friend" along the way.
I felt loads more affinity with the advert than the "endless open road" fantasy portrayed all too often.
Yes, "special" cars can make it all different to an extent, but I for one am glad that most people drive German cars - makes the Alfa experience all the more rewarding.
