autoItalia GTV article

Dunno if anyone has read the article by Nigel Fryatt. Dont know why but it annoyed me. I think a rant might help.
1)autoItalia keep claiming the Variable valve timing 2.0TS has 150bhp when i think it has 155bhp

2)He says about being an Alfa there are howevers...the elecrtic aerial doesnt work ....that could happen on any car, just buy a new one

3)Got charged 167 for an airbag light reset....more fool him

4)Unruly floor mats...well if u buy c**p ones thats wot u get...buy proper Alfa ones

5)Thinks Green GTVs look horrible....thats his opinion i suppose but he is wrong

Am i just being reasonable....possibly

I saw the buyers' guide on the GTV in a recent Auto Italia and I have to say the Blue one they had was absolutely stunning.

Never thought a blue Alfa would look that good!

Re: autoItalia GTV article

I do agree that Dark green isn't the best colur for a GTV, although I thing Sargasso green (I think thats its name) looks good, as its a bit lighter.

The early ally topped TS engines had 150bhp as well as the EU3 versions.

I would have loved to have a read of the article, but I don't subscribe to auto italia, and not many shops round here sell it.

What did they mention to be the cars good points?

Sounds like the usual poor journalism to me. Dig out a few stereotypes do some research on Google and cut and paste for a quick couple of grand commission. Suddenly a change of career seems in order.

Oh no second thoughts I wouldn't be able to sleep at night.

Re: autoItalia GTV article

The electric aerials can often be fixed with a liberal squirt of WD40, that did the job for me. Atleast this is about all they could come up with to moan about....

Personally I wouldn't buy a green GTV so I can see where he's coming from, although I do think green in general is not a great colour for a car.
