Travelbodge hotels

We had cause to stay at a travelodge . First room was one bed short so a new room was provided. We went to the room only to find it had no curtains. Another room , however desolate, had the bed and the curtains. We spent a sweaty night in this awful booth which had no soap in the dispensers and couldn't wait to get out. To the extreme of leaving a couple of Apple charging plugs in the room. But can you contact the hotel to see if the found them?
No a central number takes you through options and then ends completely.

UK hotels are overpriced ****boxes.

Private B&B seems to be the way to go over there.

Not so easy at short notice though.

Stuff left in hotel rooms belongs to the maids. It's an unwritten rule.

I know the left items thing and the likelihood of the company hiding behind a central phone system but my wife was less resigned to it...

The only contact my wife could find was from a press release about the hilarious collection of unclaimed items left in the rooms at Travelodge. Was the stuff unclaimed perhaps because it's impossible to contact anybody at the shower that is Travelodge?
It will be interesting to see if the press-office reply to her e-mail.

Also: spending a night in the Kuga would have
been cheaper/more manly.

Leaving shizz in a hotel is a schoolboy error. I certainly wouldn't be bothering with endless calls and hassle to get it back.
I've stayed in a few Travelodge hotels before and although very basic they've always been clean and perfectly adequate for getting my head down.

I'd rather sleep in a pub doorway at kicking out time

Thanks. Good in theory but redirects you to central number. Got an email with a survey leading to a trip advisor review invite. We'll see how they edit that.
