"If I'm honest..."

"To be fair" I find this at the beginning of a statement to be a reason to utterly turn off.

"If I'm honest..."

A person I rather admire once said to me that when somebody said this to him recently he interrupted and said "ah right so should I take it that usually then when you speak to me you aren't ?"

Groundhog Day?

To be honest and fair, this thread has more than a whiff of Deja vu to my nostrils....

What's wrong with being frank?

I usually do a search. In this case I was as lazy as the folk who pad their statements out with ridiculous pseudo sincere nonsense,if know what I mean?

Obviously, as well as yourself, I've been known to repeat myself at the end of the day, on more than one occasion, obviously.

I quite literally apologise for my neglectitude. I've had a crap birthday, which was going very well until my daughter heard some unusual noise from the plumbing. Next thing I knew , I was holding the hot water piper joint together while my wife found a plumber. Result: burnt fingers blistering and in a bit of pain. Still, mustn't grumble.

Thanks for your honesty across this subject of repetition, again.
