Bloody iTunes!!!!!!!!

Since getting an iSplod, I'm spending a small
fortune on the bugger!

All too quick 'n' easy to download albums,
TV shows and rent films.

Especially with the WiFi.

Re: Bloody iTunes!!!!!!!!

I know what you mean.

I kept getting boll.....er chastised by MrsJim for buying an album or few tracks almost every week. I didn't buy so frequently when I was a kid!

It is so convenient and I listen to music so much more both on my Mac and iPod than ever before and frankly I'm not overly ar5ed that the reproduction doesn't tickle the tail feathers of an audiophile.

Haha, excellent, I love that film.

My mum and dad, both in there 60s have now got 2 ipods each, to say its painful teaching my mum how to use the thing and get songs on it is an understatement (they just got an imac as well, neither has used a computer before).

My mum rung up the other night wanting to know how she could put YouTube video's on her iPod, I've ended up just installing some remote access software on her mac so I can do it for her.

How she managed to turn me into an on demand mac support monkey I don't know. Mum's are sly

Re: Bloody iTunes!!!!!!!!

The biggest issue with my ipod was the labour of love required in transferring 100+ CD's on to it when you first get one.

After that it's just on going maintenance of keeping it updated. I don't tend to buy songs from itunes as, being decidedly middle aged, I prefer to have the CD in front of me so I can read the sleeve notes. Bring back vinyl I say. At least I can actually read the sleeve notes on them!

itunes is bloody useful if you want to buy the odd song though.

I fear I may have been like Ghostydog's mum when I first got it. I'd have been lost without my kids!

I get most of my tracks from Blubster™ free music downloads it's free & legal so I'm informed but make sure you have good anti virus, spyblaster & pop up blocker in use. I've downloaded over 1000 tracks without spending anything!

Yeah give your credit card details to a Russian gangster and download songs that aren't legal and don't give any revenue back to the artist because of loopholes in Russian/Ukranian law.

WTG big up

Nope, not legal, it's just another P2P file sharing network where your downloading songs off other people. From their legal ramblings

Which basically covers them to a degree, enough people will pay for the Pro version of the software to make the whole thing worthwhile in the short term before it gets shut down.

If it's free, it's fairly safe to assume it's illegal unless distributed by the artist or srtists distribution company under licence to do so (promotional tracks, etc.)
