People on the A31

who don't use the inside lane.

Old rant I know, but it was incredible how many people were just doddering along in the outside lane of the dual carriageway stretch where the M27 ends until Ringwood yesterday.

Four different cars (including an old Maserati) were in the outside lane with absolutely nothing in front or, apart from me, behind them.

The whole drive back from Gatwick was full of people sitting in the outside and middle lanes, but these guys were absolutely ridiculous and even a flash of the lights wouldn't do it. One guy even put his hand up as a gesture of thanks to say, 'thanks for letting me know you're there" and just remained sitting there in the outside lane.

1.21 GIGAWATTS?!

Ex 95 164 TS Super, 95 164 QV, 97 164 V6 Super all very much missed.

Re: People on the A31

This was happening down the A1 and M1 last night

It's a growing trend by the look of it BN

Re: People on the A31

I do very little long distance driving nowadays, but in the seven years since I used to do a fair bit, it seems that driving standards have seriously reduced – people seeming unwilling to overtake and driving too slowly on A roads and lane hoggers on motorways and dual carriageways.

Having said that, when I do long drives now, it tends to be on the weekend and mid-week driving always used to be better anyway. Although mid-week driving seems to have suffered somewhat too.

Re: People on the A31

Ah that bugs me too!! M1 for me. People sat in the middle lane!!!
Its annoying because if you drive properly (i.e. after you have overtaken you pull in if there is nothing there) you are the one that ends up having to slow down trying to get back out to overtake mr middle lane lover.
So unless you become one of them and sit in the fast lane your journey gets frustrating.

The only way I can calm myself is by singing my Get Out My Way song which just means me singin 'get out my way' over and over again until they do...Masturbators
I would trying to avoid the swear thing on this but that is frowned upon.
