Darling's pre-budget report

Okay, so Labour have "borrowed" the Conservative's economic policies. Some popel might view this as being rather unethical, whilst others might believe that it shows that Brown was being honest when he said he wanted an end to party politics ( didn't Cameron say something similar too).

Anyway, what do you think about it...

Re: Darling's pre-budget report

Well, having nearly, but not quite, called an election, and then pinched the conservatives ideas, I can't really see the point in voting Labour anymore...

Re: Darling's pre-budget report

So Labour are pinching tory ideas, after the tories have pinched labours ideas for years, previously in order to get elected in 1997, Labour pinched the old tory ideas, and in order to fight off the Labour strengthening in the election prior to that, the tories had stolen labour ideas.

Do we see it yet?

Labour or Tories, it makes no difference? That what you're trying to say?

The Lib Dems aren't much different either, although they were 'against the war'

Doesn't leave many other parties to look at, does it? Not that I think anyone other than the Tories or Labour will be elected for at least the next 20 years...

Re: Darling's pre-budget report

The main one that Darling has stolen is the inheritance tax. But it won't really change anything, as married couples are allowed £600k anyway in inheritance if they plan their wills correctly and combine each others allowance.

I think its utter Tosh and Ballcocks, or spin as they say.

Nothing has changed, they will continue to fleece the lower and middle income people of the UK, as they have done for years.

Labour looks even weaker and indecisive as a result of this announcement and bottling the election.

Re: Darling's pre-budget report

Well Brown never mentioned anything about Inheritance tax, and non-domiciles during the Labour Party conference; so it seems to me that Labour only decided to announce these after the Conservatives 'bounced' back in the polls after announcing their proposals.

Frankly I thought Brown looked a complete ****** sitting there with a stupid grin on his face when his 'Darling' was making these announcements.

Its funny, up until the Conservatives Conference I thought Brown was doing a good job and had credibility. Furthermore, whereas when Blair was in the empathises was on the Conservatives getting a 'youthful' leader to compete; I'd begun to think Browns experience and maturity was actually standing him in good stead against Cameron.

But this last week or so has merely made me think that its time for a change.

"Anyone who ever wanted to be a politician should be banned for life from ever becoming one"

- Billy Connolly

Labour came to power 10 years ago by morphing themselves into the Tories so there's nothing new about them copying other parties' policies, it's just this time they've done it extremely unprofessionally and have been rumbled big time by the media and public. I'll bet my balls Darling gets shoved aside at the next cabinet reshuffle in the hope that we all forget about what an idea-less dunce he is.

If there was any serious opposition then Labour would be getting absolutely slaughtered in the polls, but instead we've got Cameron who thinks being seen on his bike with a health & safety vest will make us all think he has a great set of policies and ideas. Daft f*ckwit.

What ever happened to the Monster Raving Loony Party?
