Which type of person are you?

There seems to be a frightening amount of cat lovers on A.O., even blokes

I am a dog person, and do not care for cats at all.....

What are you?

Re: Which type of person are you?

If there was a poll I would say I like cats. I don't like the smell of dogs and their barking really annoys me.

You can make decent gloves from a cat..!

A horse is a pizza and 200,000 paint-brushes on legs..

And dogs are good if you want to wake the neighbours at 2am..

None of the above. Despite the fact that I like to think I appreciate animals, I am really no good near them...

Re: Which type of person are you?

Dogs think that we are dogs too. Whereas cats think they they are human.

Personally I like cats much more. They are independent.

Dogs are too sycophantic (great if you have low self-esteem perhaps). They can be cute in their own way, but are also very needy. A bit like a child which will never grow up. They also smell. Bark. Moult. Need you to clean up their poos, lick you, sniff peoples crutches and (some) try to [email protected] your leg. etc. etc. All in all, rather uncouth really!

Cats aren't so good at scaring off burglars I suppose.

That's probably fox poo. Cats tend to bury theirs.

Foxes are good if your neighbour has noisy/smelly chickens and guinea pigs. You let one into their garden a few nights running.. problem solved.

Then you shoot the fox to stop it pooing on your lawn/doormat or eating your car. Job done!

Re: Which type of person are you?

The sound of cats fighting at night is the most irritating noise on earth, even more irritating than being in slow moving traffic next to an ancient motor in dire need of a cambelt change.

People who say cats are independant are just covering up for the fact that they're being used by an animal who will go missing for hours on end, and only return when hungry or when the rain starts to fall.

Cats are smart, way smarter than those who keep them.

They always seem to fight for hours on end too

Do you think the sound of foxes screeching is the most un-nerving sound on earth?

But it's quite rare - unlike dogs barking at their own shadows in the night. At least that's the case where I live.

Very occasionally a vixen starts howling in the night. Now that is a difficult sound to ignore!

There is much truth in this. It depends on the character of the animal. My sister has two cats. One is seldom to be found, whereas the other is always keeping you company.

My cat (only one now, sadly) has always been keen on human company and always appreciates a little bit of attention. She is very affectionate and is no trouble at all.

Re: Which type of person are you?

People like the independence of cats because it saves the owners working too hard. As I've said before - pets for lazy owners

Re: Which type of person are you?

My dad has recently inherited a dog. It is sweet enough, but
a) it slobbers all over you (it's a boxer)
b) it can't be left alone (or it demolishes it's surroundings)
