Which gender is the most acquisitive?

Generally speaking; is it the boys or the girls who tend to be most materialistic?

Guys - Quality
We want big shiny expensive things. Car's, Bike, TV's etc.

Girls - Quantity
Their measure of success is how vast their collection of "stuff" is.

My vote goes to both the same.

That said - If I were allowed free reign over my money (lucky for me Mrs F "Deals with my finances" for me ) I would have a rack full of various guitars, a new GT and a load of RC cars...

Both the same, although they are after different kinds of ego boosts.

But women are way better than men in rationalising their materialism and condemning that of men.

Look at it this way though, we (boys) can use the DVD, Flatscreen TV and Pc etc...all at the same time....and cars and bikes get you from A to B....when was the last time you saw a woman carrying two handbags...or wearing two pairs of shoes at the same time

Re: Which gender is the most acquisitive?

I reckon it might be blokes. I'm a fela and fully admit to having far too many hobbies and collections that I flit to and from, without ever giving a single one of them the attention that they really deserve.

My missus on the other hand is easily pleased and can make do with just a few trinkets to make her happy.

Yeah but all important stuff you HAVE to give up for your relationship. No? Wanting and getting are not the same!

Just the 40 then? MrsJim has most of the drawers, and two double wardrobes plus, plus...and how come women spend "decent" slugs of dough on unnecessary tat (like 30 here, 40 there) on a REALLY regular basis without asking their male partner if it's OK but then go off the deep end when you spend a tenner or 20 on something for yourself/car?
