Improvisation Comedy

Personally I think "Improv" is a
pile of old sh!te.

Mostly but not exclusively because it
just isn't funny.

How about you?

Maybe I'm not getting the good stuff then.

Suggestions of what to watch/listen to
to change my view?

he drives me nuts. So fecking irritating. Mock the Week, mentioned above, is a pretty consistent improv show. Does QI count too? I guess so.

If the only alternative to improv were "My Family"... well, ket's just say, there good and bad in both camps!

Re: Improvisation Comedy

As with other comments above - some is good, some is bad. And as already suggested, Mock The Week has some decent improv bits, a bit along the lines of the old "Whose Line Is It Anyway?". Not entirely sure if it's ALL genuinely improvised. And again, some of the contestants are really pretty sharp, others can be a little awkward-looking when on-the-spot.

Re: Improvisation Comedy

yes. Patchy (as ever). That young-ish comedian (who I've not seen before) was dreadful though. Really amateur - still at the aardvark stage, I believe they say in the industry. His south/north, "the/t'" skit which went on for hours was just embarrassing. I am sure the producer must've dubbed on the laughter!!!

Re: Improvisation Comedy

Entirely agree, when he started laughing at his own jokes I almost ended up throwing the missus at the tv
