There is just something about them, that is a bit odd. I know people that would never consider one and just won't get past the rust/unreliability thing. I nearly went to the dark side of japanese motoring and thought about a civic type-r, but am glad I didn't. They are truly great cars but it is all about the technicalities rather than driving pleasure. I had the chance to move a friends type-r and couldn't get on with it. I am used to the fact that the GTA is a drivers car and as such has a heavy clutch, weighted steering, lots of torque and brakes that need a bit of effort. The type-r (no offence to my mate) is made so anyone can drive it to the point like most jap cars everything is so damn light. Wiggle your toe on the brakes and you headbut the windscreen, Yuuuuk!
