Madness Alonso

Having witnessed Alonso's "tactics" at Hungary, what does that make the little Spanish 5hit?

He's gone right down in my estimation - obviously he's lining up a driver with Ferrari

Re: Alonso

Have to agree Gary, he knew exactly what he was doing.
Shows how much Lewis has rattled him.
I loved RDs reaction, not normally one to show much emotion, but I think everyone could see he was a bit miffed.

Re: Alonso

Had to be biggest cheat since Schumacher. You could see him looking in his mirrors the whole time he was sat there in the pits - gear selection problem he would have been messing with his steerig wheel.

Thought Hamilton showed a great deal of diplomacy in the post qualifying interview - I would have wrung the little cheats neck!!

Talk about a Pommie storm in a Tea cup!!!

Get a life fellows,....I know that when you just win an Ashes series all your Cricketeers get Royal Gongs, presumably because your so desperate too win something and when you do you have to scream it to the world,, but the Alonso/Hamilton curfuffle just adds more entertainment to F1 Slotcar racing and it is good to see Ronnie squirm

Not sure what happened in the pits but I'm appalled by the stewards' decision to withdraw any point to McLaren. The team already is penalized enough as it is!

Re: Alonso

Lets go back to the start of all this gents.

Lewis Hamilton has admitted to going against team orders, therein lies the root of the hooha. Hamilton is a rookie and a prima donna and has sooo much to learn yet.

Re: Alonso

I missed the bit about Hamilton not following orders, wasn't that something to do with overtaking?? Personally I think that it was particularly bad sport on the part of Alonso, his excuss was he was waiting for release from his earpiece? Stinks to me, the crew could see Hamilton waiting to come in and no one there was stopping Alonso from leaving.

Charge: Cheating slimy little gringo.

Motive: Got the ar5e because he's getting whopped by his rookie team mate.

Verdict: Guilty as hell.

Not sure the FIA should have stuck their oar in though.

Well, it will be interesting to see how the McLaren appeal goes against the decision not to award them constructor points...

Re: Alonso

I voted 'other' - Almost every champion has been prepared to 'cheat' if there's the remotest possibility of gaining an advantage. Doesn't make them any less great.

Re: Alonso

The irony is that all of Alonsos problems are self inflicted.

1) He came into the team expecting deference from everyone else.
2) He started moaning because his team mate is as fast as he is.
3) He started overdriving and making silly mistakes on the track
4) He started a game of team politics and spin against LH
5) Now he's reduced to cheating.

And all because Honest Ron gave him the fastest car in the championship and said "get on with it"

If LH did wrong then he's only playing Alonsos game back to him, and obviously completely outpsyched him.

Everybody say how sorry we feel for the poor wee spoilt child.

Re: Alonso

Other - Lewis evidently decided he was bigger than the team, so ignored repeated instructions from his boss. Everything else that happened was a direct consequence of this.

Re: Alonso

i do feel a bit sorry for alonso, he was the golden boy and its not like he's had a good run at the top (only 2 years isnt it?) before hamilton came along and stole his thunder.

besides, it is true that you leave the pits only when you're told to. i doubt alonso would sit there after he had been told to leave, you'd have to be an idiot to do that knowing full well there will be recored proof. if that is the case then he is a cheat and i hope he catches a nasty STD. if it turns out he did what he was told it shows (yet again) how bent the world of F1 is.

it probably wouldnt even make headline news, few people have heard of the ashes, or cricket in general. it still seen as a sport for toffs who are scared of rugby or for the asian community.
