Hmmm Tea bags

which do you prefer pyramid or round , for me its pyramid they seem to brew up quicker and are easier to squeeze out.

Neither. I prefer coffee. Tea just isn't my cup of tea.

Re: Tea bags

What about square ones? Twinings for me, the regular everyday tea is lovely and I get through loads of the fruity ones, they're all good

Re: Tea bags

I very rarely drink tea...don't care about the bag as long as the drink is really strong.

I must add that coffee is vile

Re: Tea bags

Especially that "monkey picked" tea.

I've seen what those dirty buggers
get upto in the zoo. Don't fancy
drinking something they've had
their (literally) grubby mitts on!!!

Re: Tea bags

Normally on a string, just as long as it is definitely not poncey Earl Grey .....

Tea , a drink for the more self controlled in Society...
Coffee, a drink for the emotionally irational...

example Tea Drinker

Tornado pilot - "patrol XXXX to forward air controller - we have 5 Iraqi tanks in sight in free fire zone - permission to attack ?"
Air controller - "Roger XXXX - are you sure that they are Iraqi and in the free fire zone ?"
TP - "confirmed controller, they are Riding in Iraqi tanks with Iraqi flags and they are shooting at us"
AC - "sure they're not Saudi forces out of position ?"
TP - "confirmed control, they are bloody Iraqi and now I've got one engine on fire"
AC - "OK XXXX - clear to fire a warning shot.."

Coffee Drinker :

Air controller - "Billy Bob - you out there ?"
A10 Pilot - "yup"
AC - "got any ammo left ?"

Re: Tea bags

Isn't the tea in teabags basically the floor sweepings
left over from processing the "real" tea? (The "fannings" ?)

Re: Tea bags

Not the shape that matters but the material and what is in it. King Cole from New Brunswick, Canada is my personal favourite everyday tea. If I am feeling flush and in need of something special the best Assam I can afford from Fortnum and Mason.

Re: Tea bags

Tea leaves or square bags brewed strong especially after a night on the Chianti ( now that's a proper drink )

Re: Tea bags

I don't drink tea as a rule, but if I do - the water has to be slightly "frightened" by the tea bag. Not bothered of the size or shape.

Pyramid. There's always a corner that floats to the top which you can fish it out with.

Re: Tea bags

Square bags with Yorkshire "gold" tea inside. Pricey but nicey.

The husband of my kids midwife works on quality control at Yorkshire Tea (Taylors..part of Betty's). He spend his days inspecting the tea trees in the vast tract of land between Follifoot and Harewood
