Wave Ever rang someone in the same house?

If so, why?

Landline to mobile or mobile to landline or mobile to mobile calls to be included

Just trying to compile a list of reasons why one might. I have listed some in the poll options for you. So vote and post away

Re: Ever rang someone in the same house?

Not whilst in the house, but I do ring people
just as I get to their (apartment block) front
door so they can buzz me in and
I don't have to wait outside.

Does "Other" cover this?

Re: Ever rang someone in the same house?

Nev, your option would in this case be "Never"

Glenda, you chose the wrong other option But it is a very good and valid reason for ringing someone in the same house

Re: Ever rang someone in the same house?

I insisted my brother phone me from his mobile while he was stood next to my car, with me in it, so that I could show off my new handsfree kit!

What was totally bizarre was the time delay, I could see his lips moving but he didn't come out of the phone for about 2s afterwards!

Re: Ever rang someone in the same house?

Yup, I've done the bog roll call

I don't really like shouting from one end of the house to the other so the phone came in useful....better than pulling up trousers and fetching it myself anyway...yuergh!

Other useful moments....calling from the house to the garage or from garden to house......generally being a lazy sod!

Other.

I often 'lose' my mobile so I ring the number from my house phone so I can find it again.

I've done it before to test out the mobiles to see if they were working properly

Re: Ever rang someone in the same house?

Yep, my other half always leaves her mobile in the lounge, whereas mine gets left in the bedroom. Saturday mornings I have been known to sneakily call her mobile to get her up, so she can make the tea on her way back past the kitchen

Hhmm, yes, well I guess it cuts down on the number of times you have to wash your underpants

Never...

It would be funny otherwise, as I live alone.

Re: Ever rang someone in the same house?

Before my company went all open plan a small group of us, who were good friends, shared an office. We regularly called each other. If anyone was distracted enough to answer the phone without realising it was one of our numbers, they'd generally get something along the lines of 'you ****' shouted down the phone at them. Childish I know, but it whiled the hours away.
Once people got too wise to it, we got more sophisticated, dialing the full number with dialing code so it showed up as an external call, or sneaking to another office to make the call.

Re: Ever rang someone in the same house?

I regularly ring people on adjoining desks in the office.

Mainly because I can't be asked to shout across the room

Re: Ever rang someone in the same house?

done the out of bog roll, sick in bed needing somthing, but occasionally call family who are still in bed when i'm sitting in the lounge because they wouldn't hear if i just shouted for them-is this lazy?(shouting is so common anyway and all of my minutes are free )
Also, once i was accidentally locked in the conservatory whilst napping(dont think they saw me) and had to call someone to release me.

which box do i tick, can we chose more than once

ok just tried and can't, went for bog roll scenario as it holds the greatest comedy value.
