Buying from Alfaowner

I keep on noticing that cars are advertised in the For Sale section but often do not sell very quickly. I was wondering how often the cars advertised on this site actually get sold? Have you ever bought a car advertised on AO, and if so how did the transaction go?

10000+ km make buying stuff from AO slightly difficult...

I bought my current car through it (within about 3 mins of the post going up) and sold the previous one on it

Re: Buying from Alfaowner

I am trying to buy a car through AO, but as I am very particular (black 145 cloverleaf), I may well be waiting forever to find one.

I have a listing in the "Alfas Wanted" section, but I am not keeping my hopes up.

If this changes in the near future, I will update this thread

I went to look at a car being sold here but did not buy it as it was just a little rough around the edges.

Re: Buying from Alfaowner

I bought a few bits for my old Alfa on the AO shop, and I sold a couple of bits on the forum. By memory the Squadra chip when I sold the car (didn't leave it in since I was selling to a garage), and the helicoil kit once I'd had my own sump done.

No.

But, like Bazza, I bought a couple of parts from the AO shop when it was running.

Re: Buying from Alfaowner

I bought my black 145 QV through a (duplicated) ad on here and on Alfa145.com - dunno where I spotted it first though.

Nope, but I bought a few bits for my 147 a while ago from a seller in the classifieds.
