Re: Caffeine

Hardly drink coffee to be honest as I prefer tea which has less caffeine. Caffeine doesnt really do much to me anyway.

Actually I believe that tea has more caffeine in it, but I belive some other chemical in tea counteracts the caffeine to a degree.

Re: Caffeine

I usually have 4 cans of Coke a day at work to keep me perky .

Of course I usually don't get to sleep 'til dawn either

Re: Caffeine

I have about 10 cups during the day at work and another couple in the evening...I don't 'think' it is doing anything to me

My Wife drinks a lot more coffee than me though but she has it very weak.

Re: Caffeine

Keeps me awake though it has developed into a bit of an addiction. Now, if I could only find my damn cup of coffee...........!

Re: Caffeine

Does nowt for me - barely drink it any more but when I did, I think the only thing it did for me was make me want another. Loaded with sugar and drinling 5-6 a day, it couldn't possibly have been doing anyting good for me though.....

only when working and doing the all night run though sometimes it does the opposite effect ... making me sleepy rather than keep me awake.

Paul.
Is it the fact that you're drinking decaff, or the fact that you're not drinking full strength? Sounds very much like withdrawal cymptoms.

I stopped drinking stuff with Caffeine in about 2-3 months ago. At first I did get headaches as I used to be a 7-8 mugs of tea a day man, but after a few days the headaches went.

I actually sleep better and am more even tempered without the stuff, so I stay off it now.

Re: Caffeine

Espresso and if I'm overdosing then macchiato, are the tools that help me function properly. I'm not addicted – I can survive with just one if I'm having a lazy day. And I only drink tea when I'm sick.

Re: Caffeine

Does nothing to me that I notice. Never could understand all these Yank programs suggesting a cup makes you super-hyper giddy.

I drink more tea than coffee. You must get addicted though because I have de-tox'd (including the vino) for a couple of weeks at various times and the headaches really are horrid for a few days. No wonder druggies struggle to quit.
