Best modern Alfa alloy wheel design

I am interested in knowing what peoples opinions are on the Alfa alloy wheel designs.

My choices are based mainly on original/OEM Alfa designs, or those available from the options catalogue, but I have also included some of the more popular 'aftermarket' options too.

I appreciate that some of the designs will only come in certain sizes, 16/17/18 inch, but I am asking you to vote on the alloy design and how well it suits the modern alfa, not the size that you prefer.

You will note tht my choices are based on those wheels that are found mainly on the 156/147, this is because I own a 156, and know nothing/very little about the classic alfas. I also believe these are the cars that most AO members will be driving.

Perhaps someone else could start a poll for the classic alfas, or the new models, such as 159/Brera.

Happy voting.........should be a close run thing. I reckon the GTA teledial will be the clear favourite.

Re: Best modern Alfa alloy wheel design

The design depends on the model. To me, the 147 and 156 look best with teledial alloys, the GT looks best with spoked alloys and the 159 / Brera look best with the horse shoe alloys.

The Zender Sienas are the most beautiful out there (another personal opinion ) but only for the 156 and 166. The Sienas don't really suit the 147 though.

Selespeed, totally agree with your analysis.

In my opinion there are certain wheels that just do not transfer well between a 147/156. E.g. Supersports don't look good on a 156, but are very suited to the 147.

Similarly 5 hole teledials do not suit the 147, but are perfect for the 156. Although the 147 GTA with GTA teledials is an exception, mainly because of its aggressive stance.

The selespeed wheels seem to go well on both the 147 and 156, but in my opinion are a pretty average looking design.

The 156 teledial is bottom right and the GTA teledial is above it on the picture below.

That GTA wheel.

But the smooth 5-hole jobbie on the Phase 2 GTV is also a nice one.

the new 7 hole horseshoe 18's on the Brera, what a good looking wheel, suits the car perfectly, best wheel for a car since the 5 spokes on the escort cosworth

I voted for the original 16" 5-hole teledials - absolute classics. Mind new, there's a 55 reg. 156 in my work car park with "teardrop" shaped alloys, they look really

Re: Best modern Alfa alloy wheel design

I like the GTA teledials most. If only they were not so heavy
On the second place, I like supersports or Ti wheels.
The horseshoe design on 159/brera is fantasctic as well.
I am not a big fan of multispokes.....

Mr Orange, like you I am smitten with the Siena's.

The reason I started the poll is that I am soon to upgrade my 16" teledials to 18's.

I'm pretty sure I'll go for the Sienas, but want to get some viewpoints from the AO's.

I've just received my 225/40/18 tyres............they were a steal from Ebay, £320 delivered, brand new Michelin PS 2's.

Maybe if you post some pictures of your car on this thread we can give better 'advice'.

Roswell: Gave the car a good wash yesterday.......went to take pictures but the camera died on me.
Will try to post asap.
But it's Silver Veloce with 16" Teledials, and low level zender spoiler. (Don't like the spoiler, but have to live with it for now).

Cheers.

Right, Finally taken some decent pictures; would appreciate your viewpoints on whether to fit Zender Sienas or not. If not, what else ? Cheers.
