The radio station in your car

I'm 42 and a solid listener to Radio 2

Am I alone? What are you lisening to?

Radio 1 is just too loud, Local radio is on a 20 minute loop and I don't think that I am old enough for Radio 3 or 4. Radio 5 and Virgin are both on medium wave, need I say more, and the adverts on the commercial channels drive me insane.

If you are out of the UK, let us know how good/bad your radio stations are, unless you are in the USA, then obviously you will be listening to Country and Western, slushy rock or GOD radio, they are all rubbish............

Or do you just self indulge in your CD/MP3, conversation???

You can vote for more than one thing so that if you listen to Terry on the way to work and a CD on the way home because Chris Evans is crap, then vote for two.

Woh! that must stir somthing up

Cheers. Mark.

The COBRA dosn't have a radio, just the burble of the open 4" side pipes.

Re: The radio station in your car

Radio 4 in the GTV, and I 'm afraid I'm only 35.

The other car has a de-catted stainless steel exhaust and no roof. I've no idea if the radio still works, and no real intention of finding out.

Radio 5 and iPod for me...

Medium wave with my head unit (Becker) is surprisingly crackle free...

Re: The radio station in your car

French radio sucks.

"Riviera Radio" has the most annoying DJs
ever, in the whole of creation.

Would love to have Radio4 in the car,
instead I end up with "Radio International"
that broadcasts the World Service until 9am.

Re: The radio station in your car

Radio 2.

I'm still under 40

Used to listen to Radio 1 but got fed up listening to the same songs driving to work as travelling back home - always was that Eminem bloke who I think is CRAP!!! Final straw was when some t*sser stand in DJ thought it was a real laugth to 'pretend' snore through Rise by whatever her name was (song from BJD) which he obviously had been made to play. Decided then I'd obviously got to old for that station

Re: The radio station in your car

Today fm (Irish). Except when either Tony Fenton or Tim Kelly come on air, annoying mid-atlantic accented dinosaur and plain idiot jock respectively.
All the rest is quite good. They now have an Alice Cooper show on saturday at 18:00 playing classic rock. A worthy replacement to the disco and funk show it took over from.

Normally radio 2 in the mornings, and either radio 2 or 4 on the way home.

Got the iPod in most of the time but I do listen to Classic FM a lot, music tends to dictate my driving style too much.

Re: The radio station in your car

In the 155, thanks to the dire inbuilt aerial, the only station I could get reliably was the local one; to be fair they're not too bad, and you do get local traffic reports However, the 156 has opened up my musical choice in the car for the first time in 6 years and now I tend to have on Smooth FM most of the time.

With you on this one, I used to drive in Paris quite a lot on my way to Renault and I was told that French radio MUST by law play a percentage of home grown music and it's all S**T

Re: The radio station in your car

All my life radio stations haven't played the music I like, so in the car it's the iPod. I still listen to R1 because I'm not old enough to listen to R2 (and never will be)
