I looked at Le Mans recently and would love to see it on a cinema screen, even better than Bullitt in some ways !

Re: The best Steve McQueen Film

So many of his films are great - in fact, off hand I can't think of a bad one. However, as to what is his greates I think it partly depends on what kind of mood you're in and what you actually want to watch.

So I voted 'Other' on that basis.

I voted for Bullitt from the list but then I remembered The Thomas Crown Affair! Another great film and as ever, a million times better than the remake . Faye Dunaway...grrrrr!

Bullitt was on the box last night, I'd clean forgotten that a young Jacqueline Bissett was also in it!

I voted for the Great Escape as McQueen on the motorbike is an iconic image.

Re: The best Steve McQueen Film

I voted "Bullitt" because he is the star in it. However, the first film I thought of was "The Great Escape" because it was such a great part for him. Despite that and the lasting images of the bike leap and ball-throwing in the cooler, he was just one of many stars.

Bullitt, I just love it. I would like a 60's Mustang to go with my mate's '70 Charger.
