Re: Favourite sports

out of those choices, motorsport in many of its guises is for me, but I do like my cycling and with the TDF coming up, I'll be keeping an eye on that!

Re: Favourite sports

To watch or take part in?
Favourite to watch is football. Motorsport was close, but isn't any more with the relative demise of F1. I also used to really enjoy the BTCC, but that's gone down the pan a bit too.
I enjoy playing football and tennis, but I'll have a go at pretty much anything I get the opportunity to do.

Somewhat inevitably, CYCLING!

I'm a tad disappointed you put in Ballroom Dancing but not cycling . Bit of a Cinderella sport I suppose .

6 ft actually, hopefully this link will deal with your misconception of bball players being tall:

http://www.smith.mn/nbashort/

BTW: ever measured your vertical jump anywhere near 42 inches

joost, your almost describing the magical gaelic sport of hurling

now that's a spectator sport if ever was one

all you describe above, plus it is THE fastest field sport played on grass.

add the agressive, but fair, element, the "clash of the ash" as two hurleys smash together in mid air, or that special crunch as bones are smashed, and of course, the blood and guts spilled liberally from goal post to goal past

god, it's like watching the chariot race in ben hur, but without the chariots, if you can picture that.

aaaaahhhhhh! dontcha' just love the smell of blood in the afternoon air

a provincial semi final today, can hardly wait
