Well Happy :: 147 or 156sw? ::

The question is simple: imagine you have a 147 1.6TS and you start to think about a (theoretically) more practical car... say, the 156SW JTD*. What would you do?

*no matter the version - 115bhp or 140bhp - but I like her more before the last face-lift.

Re: :: 147 or 156sw? ::

I was faced with a similar dilemma when I bought my 147.
I always wanted a blue 147 2.0 with dark blue leather and manual box, but I also loved the idea of a 156 V6 in red with black leather etc.
Both were available at very similar price.
The choice was decided by fuel consumption, age, mileage, and at that stage , trade in values.
The 147 won, but some days I think the V6 would have been great to drive

Re: :: 147 or 156sw? ::

Sod the practicality and buy a 156 saloon, preferably a GTA, but at the very least a sportpacked 2.5.

If I had the choice of the above though I would have the 147.

Re: :: 147 or 156sw? ::

Hugo,

I am driving right now 156 SW 1.8TS....silver with red leather...2001.

I can only tell you that I am missing my 147 too much...the 156 is a beatufull car...but my heart belongs to 147...I can't really wait to get back my 147.

If you choose the 147 in first place...stay with the 147.

I see Eric, and you got the 147. That's one point to keep the 147.

2 good points (2.0 and v6) specially the last one... on my the v6! But that would ruin my pocket. And they are not popular here at all.

I'm not exactly thinking about dogs but, that's a point.

Another good point... but, for a change I would go for something different than a 147...
