Re: Restaurant throw up!!!

Having been brought up properly it would be the height of bad manners to vomit on the table cloth.

If it did appear to be happening I would run into the kitchen where no-one could see

Re: Restaurant throw up!!!

went to an indian restaraunt a couple of years back, ordered a chicken vindaloo......as soon as i put the last fork full into my mouth, i felt the urge to bring it back up and put it back on the plate

ran to the toilet as quick as i could, but just not quick enough.....1 vindaloo with pilau rice and half a nan bread all over the toilet floor...

went out and told wife and friends what had happened...we asked for the bill and got out of there before they discovered the little ''package'' that was waiting for them in the bog

the wife or our friends wernt too impressed by it as they blamed me going out on the drink with my brother all day....

was in the bad books for about a week

Re: Restaurant throw up!!!

Never. I have some sort of psychological block which means I can not, no matter what the situation, vomit outside of a receptacle of some sort, be that a sink, toilet or bucket.
As psychological blocks go, it's quite a handy one

Re: Restaurant throw up!!!

I never have throw up in a restaurant. And, the last time I throw up because I drunk too much was 21 years ago on a New Years party. Too much champaign. Never had any more problems with that.

No I seem to be able to eat pretty much anything, though I can't seem to eat spicy food like I used to. Before I could eat a vindaloo, phall or once a thai curry that even the waitress warned me against.

Re: Restaurant throw up!!!

Never in a restaurant - where food is concerned my stomach never lets go. Booze? Well that's a different story, could never hold my drink. Most embarrasing moment was in White Hart in Edinburgh (a very long time ago). Just on my 7th pint of "snakebite" when it was time to go. Drink up said the posse, so i necked the entire pint and promptly projectile vomitted all over the bar . I was banned and I'm still embarrassed to go anywhere near the place 30 years later even though at the time i had hair down to my a**e and was wearing platform shoes and a glittery jaicket!

Re: Restaurant throw up!!!

I've never thrown up in the restaurant where I bought the food........

Once spend a 7 hour flight throwing up all the way from something I ate in the restaurant just before the flight.......

My worse non-vomiting experience was when I worked in Syria for a month. Stayed in a small came site in the middle of nowhere in the height of summer. Every time you went to the canteen at the work site you knew that 15 minutes later you would be sitting on the toilet for the next 15......you kind of got used to the 'experience' after a few days

As for alcohol induced vomiting…..best not go there

thats not a very nice thing to do, not even remotely funny, no respect for the restaurant, the owners or the poor persons who would have to clean up after you.

Re: Restaurant throw up!!!

We have this habit carrying a digital camera and record anyone among our friends who vomit and laugh about it the next day.
There was once we were in this wedding dinner when this man had too much to drink and puked infront of everyone. jezzz the whole carpet was covered by half digested pizza, chips, oh ya brandy and stew. The restaurant owner charge the bill payer €150 for cleaning up the carpet.
Didn't have my digital camera with me that time. Damm

this is a forum, if i see a post i wish to comment on then i will do so, i never get personal unlike yourself, if you don't like something i post thats fine by me and if you want to add a comment, positive or negative, thats fine by me also.

if we disagree about something so be it but to take things so personally eg. clear side repeaters and valve caps, seems to be outwith what a forum is all about, as for sending me a PM i'm not interested and wouldn't even bother opening another one from you.

i will of course apologise if you point me to one thread where i have "picked a fight" with you as oppossed to "added my point of view"
