250 GB.

However, I'm thinking of setting up a RAID configuration (I prefer RAID 5......).

Re: Harddrive space!?!?!?!?!

Planning to upgrade one very old 3GB (yes three) to 40 or 80. Main disk is currently 40Gb and has plenty of space. PC mainly used by me to read AlfaOwner forum .... kids games and homework which involves lots of www surfing and MSN messenger apparently

Re: Harddrive space!?!?!?!?!

My laptop has a 20 Gb hard disk. So far I never needed more disk space so my purchase was efficient back then . Still 35% room left on HD.

Hopefully my next laptop will arrive next week.

Re: Harddrive space!?!?!?!?!

I don't save a lot of stuff locally so I don't need a large drive. I currently have 60Gb in my PowerBook and I have about 15 Gb free.

Dear Deirdre says that porn is OK when browsed occaisionally on the web but when it is saved lcoally then that is when it becomes a problem!

Wish I had seen that, a friend of mine has a substantial collection that took numerous CD's to back up when we rebuilt his machine.... honestly that was a friend... not me... OK.

2x 60 GB in RAID 0 mode on the desktop
1x 40 GB in notebook

I am actualy playing with the idea to get 200-300 GB external HDD to store photos and videos.

2x120gb - mine
1x250gb - external backup drive for photos etc
1x80gb - my wifes
1x80gb, 1x40gb, 1x40gb in my childrens computers.

and a couple of spares 30gb and 80gb drives.

Laptop drives

1x60gb and 1x40gb in my laptop
2x20gb spare laptop drives.

Wow.....that is a stupid amount of storage space.....no wonder I can never find anything

Re: Harddrive space!?!?!?!?!

80Gb Desktop
30Gb Laptop
60Gb 2.5" USB

I think what would be more revealing is how much free space we all have as a percentage! Mine will be pretty high!
