Pedestrian crossings

Always use them? Always avoid them?

Always press the button? Always check the flow of traffic first?

How many Tufty the Squirrel points do you reckon you rack up?

I've gone for sometimes, I guage traffic & cross where I want generally, but if it's too busy, I use a crossing.

When I'm with my ten year old, I always use them, but guage the traffic before pressing the button

Garage
I have frequently told off my wife and kids for indiscriminate and wanton button-pressing.

I don't mind kids who press and run off for kicks. It's the lack of thought that bugs me.

I use them where necessary but check the traffic first. Apart from the one near my house which is faulty and takes so long to turn red that the traffic has usually cleared. You can be across and 50 feet away before it changes and stops a car that was nowhere near when you pressed the button.
