Assuming that it's going to have an interior and a stereo, I'd put the weight at more like 1200kg and the power will probably be far less than they claim. But then my glass is often half-empty.

Whatever it is, it'll be 'wrong'. Look at how the GT86 has been received to see a good example of this.

It'll not be as light as originally planned, for sure. I'll go with around 950kgs and 250bhp.

Garage
would love them to mate 2 4cyl multiairs together to make a 2.8l V8 with 400bhp, then stick it in the chassis. Maybe 1200kg but would go like stink!

Won't happen though

The reality I think will be 1200kg and 250bhp

Well Alfa stated around 4kgs per 1bhp..

So for 240bhp it will weigh around 960kgs

Lets hope its well under 4kgs per 1bhp... Lighter weight + more power = more fun

Judging by their current stance it wouldn't surprise me if they fitted an 85 bhp Twinair !!!!

I can see it being 950kg at 250 but 300bhp at any of those weights wouldn't go a miss

By the time it has a Euro NCap rating, ABS brakes, traction control, Airbags etc it will be heavier than originally hoped... Plus all of the emissions guff will hit horsepower.

I reckon 1000Kg and 220bhp, but I wouldn't be suprised if it ends up heavier.

220bhp is not enough for the 4C

950-975kg and 250bhp sounds about right to me - should feel pretty pokey! So long as it handles well that's the main thing...

I don't think they will 'do their best' (so to speak) at launch.

The engine might be good for 300 BHP but it won't launch with that. I reckon 250-260 and then a mid-life 'upgrade'.

Same for the weight. 1000Kg minimum, probably more like 1100-1200; and then a trip down the fat farm for a limited edition.

Still saving up for one whatever happens.
