I've done both - raised it and then lowered it
Just selected lower in the poll though since thats what I'm sticking with.
Originally when getting the AD coilovers intstalled I requested a 5mm higher ride height since some Irish roads are quite bad.;
However after some time with the higher ride height I realised that the original GTA spring/damper settings allowed the car to bottom out way too much and with the AD dampers I could lower it a lot more.
I gradually lowered it over time and am now approx 20mm lower than standard (would know exactly if 156 GTA owner would do me a favour
Haven't really done it for looks, although it looks quite
Lowering the centre of gravity makes a big difference to how quickly you can change direction on the track, and also cornering speed.
Especially if you haven't had to compromise on suspension travel (e.g. with a coilover kit).
