Re: 159 design

Not sure.

I hope it looks better in the flesh than the photos. The front nose looks very similar IMO to the existing 156 facelifted version.....

Time will tell. In october 2006 I get a new car. It's between the Brera and the 159.......

It's pointless saying until you can see it in the flesh, which for us UK guys is months away yet.

Re: 159 design

And atleast a year in Australia
Even the Facelifted 147 might be here by July 2005 or is that August ,
with 1 trim level except for probably the seats, 1 engine, the 2.0 unless they bring in a Diesel, 3 or 5 doors amd presumably manuspeed or selespeed.

I hate it when I am spoilt for choice

I suppose better than the GT. Effectively we get 2 choices.
A high spec. V6 with manuspeed

A lower spec. 2.0 JTS with Selespeed.

both with Leather (nice when the temps are 40 C+ in "Rural" Australia)

Re: 159 design

I have seen it in Geneva and I really like the car...

The only down side is that the car is too big for me, I preffer something like the 147 in size. But I guess that will change with me age numbers

Re: 159 design

From what I have read, it looks like it will be bigger than I would like. From the photos, I don't think it looks as nice as the 156.

However, I reserve judgement until I have seen it in the flesh (that is why I voted "other").

Re: 159 design

From my point of view, the 156 was a real stunner when it came out in '97. The 159 is a very nice car but it lacks the stunning impact the 156 had on people. I probably will buy one anyway in a couple of years

Think I actually prefer it to the Brera!

Nothing beats the new Spider though.

Agreed - don't get me wrong the Brera is a fantastic looking car - its just from some angles it's got a large botty

Re: 159 design

That huge black blanking panel in the corner of the windows on the rear passenger doors on the 159 saloon is a bit of a put-off. The Saloon, though, still looks good, but not as good as the SW, which looks brilliant.

I was there!!! I don't know if you could hear them on the TV, but they sounded awesome, they definitely weren't using standard exhausts on those cars, everyone around was commenting how nice they sounded, especially when all three went round together giving it some berries under Starkeys Bridge

My mate got some good pics, I'll post them tonight if I get chance
