Do you wash &/or polish your pillars/sills/door frames?

After my marathon clean up on Alfenia I wondered how many other went to the same level of washing &polishing as I do..... from time to time. Most time only the exterior panel get a lick of polish but once in a while, i'd say every 3 months or so, the car that is most in my favour get *the works*.

So how about you lot?

I give them a good wash when I wash the car with shampoo. I haven't polished them as yet due to the fact they're not subject to the same conditions as the exterior paint finish.

BTW, you're quite the perfectionist aren't you BB? Your AR must be pristine now....

i always use that back to black stuff on the black door edgings & the pillars gives it a nice black colour again. Reminds me i have to wash my car again this weekend - left it parked outside ma & pa's for an hour yesterday and a squadron of seagulls took aim and "bombs away" on the bella God knows what those seagulls had been eating!

Every month...?

When I bought my GTV I did it every weekend. I polished it 51 times in the first year I had it.. missed a week when I was on holiday and it was in the garage.

I'm better now... just every forthnight.

Back to black is crap. it goes ever where else.

AutoGlym do better stuff that you wipe on and it sokes in to the rubber, and last longer.

Warning Re: Do you wash &/or polish your pillars/sills/door frames?

I clean/polish every bit of my car.

Interior/exterior/wheels/brakes/engine/enginebay.Even the boot and the rubber trim around the doors, windows and tailgate gets cleaned spruced up.

Also sills,pedals,dashboard,centre console,leather seats,leather doorcards,windows,windscreen,roof lining etc.The whole lot gets a good cleaning/polishing every week.

Once a month the front bumper comes off and I use M3 green Scotchpad and warm sudsey water to keep a nice shine on my intercooler and radiator.I even use pickling paste and sealer to keep the turbo manifold, turbo and intercooler pipes nice and clean and give a polished look to them.

I also take the throttlebody and the induction kit off the engine once a month and give them a clean to keep them in perfect working order and gunk free.

After all I cant have a dirty car on display to the public at car shows, now can I?

I hate a dirty car.Thats a big for me.
