Denim Jeans : Designer, High Street or Supermarket ?

After being asked to leave a rather trendy shop because I refused to stop laughing at the prices of denim jeans I've wondered if anyone else pays the extortionate prices ? So, do you buy Designer, High Street, or Supermarket ?

The Fashion Police have a warrant out for howell's & Bradders arrest.

Your can buy designer 2nd hand for 15 on fleabay and charity shops.

The real poll should be ... Should fellas over 50 be allowed to wear jeans and have pony tails?

I only buy the genuine ones manufactured from authentic sail cloth as used on the 'Clippers' ? All seams stitched using orange thread, genuine copper rivets on pockets, Lightening zip or buttons I don't mind, and smelling of real fish oil!

First pair purchased in 1953, but unfortunately they wore out eventually! : Wore those with a 'Cowboy' shirt.don'tcha recall the same combo?

GAP, Boot Leg fit, dark blue. Buy 'em in bulk (3 or 4 pairs every couple of years) and wear them til they get too scruffy to wear even for the garage.

I'm 50 this year, so presumably this will be my last year of being allowed to wear jeans and I will have to pop into M&S and buy Blue Harbour "slacks" instead.

As long as you don't have one of those pony tails with the curtain of hair around the back and sides and a chrome dome then you are allowed jeans if over 50 Fred.

Alsorts, if they fit and look good I buy em, currently rocking BOSS, Levi's, Banana Republic, Nigel Hall and Duck and Cover. Generally buy in sales though or if I get vouchers as a gift to top up what I'd normally spend.

Pair of Lee's bought in about 2000 and still pretty good, especially since the missus rejuvenated them with a navy dye wash! :

Cargoes from M&S are me fav' daily wear. Khakis x3 and blacks times 3. North Coast in black with the black RTR bomber jacket emblazoned with badge which is an embroidered modern panzer surrounded by the eight original colour shoulder flashes of the eight original regiments. Smart as a fart at 72, with loads of pockets for the maps? Oops, GPS gear I mean.

50 Eh, FD? Aha, those were the days when I worshipped my Lancia 16v Thema turbo. Some of the best years of my life around that half century mark! : Not too bad now though, so mustn't complain, stick with it FD as the next rungs just fly by?
