A few years ago, it would have been OHMSS. The best tunes and a vulnerable bond.

But I unexpectedly loved the re-boot, so it's Casino Royale now.

The worst on the other hand probably has to be Die Another Day - if only for the appalling CGI when he's tidal wave surfing.
Brosnan was a cacky bond - 006 (Sean Bean) would have been better.

I'm absolutely in the same boat - and it was a coin toss.

Once again - absolutely spot on. That ties, for me, with the previous nadir of the series, A View to a Kill

Ah - I freaking love Christopher Walken, so have a soft spot for View to a Kill.

In a moment of boredom checked the IMDB ratings. They also have Casino Royale top on 7.9

Have Goldfinger (which I'm coincidentally watching currently) next at 7.8.

OHMSS has 6.8, which sounds comparatively bad, but relative to Bond films as a whole is reasonably high - there's only a couple more in the 7's.

OHMSS

Not the best Bond, but by far the best Bond girl (Diana Rigg of course) with great cars, good villain and proper pathos

I'nt Bond great?

I'm similarly torn between the tough, new "Bourne" style Bond in Casino Royale and some of the older ones.

Maybe it's a childhood thing but I loved Thunderball for all the underwater battles and corny speeding up of the Disco Volante (what a name!) as it smashed into the rocks.

And then the unforgettable Goldfinger with the DB5 Corgi toys that gave me so much pleasure and that cool laser beam and a Rolls Royce made of gold, and the baddy with the steel bowler hat "did you see what he did to that statue, dad!!!" - as a kid I was completely Happy memories.

But I'll go with the modern version, Casino Royale.

Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.

Casino Royale, hands down.

A great film regardless of it being a Bond one.

OHMSS. Still makes me well up at the end. (The wife wanted to walk down the aisle to We Have All The Time In The World, I said no way, even though I love it)
TSWLM is also a favourite, because of the skiing.

Can't wait to see Skyfall, just trying to sort out where & when I'll see it - most likely 21/10 in Leicester Square, but possibly a couple of days later at the RAH.

I love the new bond films - a bit different and Daniel Craig is excellent but then any of the Sean Connery ones were awesome (the man takes some beating).

Started voting then realised I could one have one! Should've had multiple choice, Stevio

Casino Royale is my fave, different style of Bond, more aggressive.
