The Jag should probably win but if it's good enough for 156 owners I'm bl00dy sure it's good enough for Bertie so I vote 105.

Fair enough, but as a 156 owner it has to be the E-Type*

* especially as I nominated it!

I really can't separate these. They are both in their own way perfect and I can't use my most like to own angle because I'd love either.

Hmmmm.

E Type. It's the best looking car left in the competition

Apart from the 156, obviously

E-Type. Whilst looking at pictures of the two, I stumbled across some more pictures of Jaguar's new lightweight of a couple of years ago. I remember seeing it at the NEC and being absolutely mesmerised by it. As were a lot of people judging by the crowds around it all day.

Before I knew Jim and before I knew the little I do about Alfa I would have without doubt chosen the Jagwar but now seeing and knowing what I know I'm struggling, in fact as much as I did last night penciling my X.

I'm going to have a think about it.

I think the little Alfa deserves a special award for being the best looking car that isn't any sort of exotic sportscar.

Alfa in the end. Tough choice though. I would be happy for either one of these to win.

Quite a coincidence and opportune,i've just followed a red e-type for about 10miles along the a483, can i change my vote please ?
I voted for it ,but in all honesty now wish i hadn't.From behind it looked fugly and badly proportioned imho. When i saw the profile as it pulled in infront of me the thought was 'wow an e-type' but solely because it was a rare spot rather than how nice it looked

Tough.

Mmmmm.

Right. I'm going 105 purely because I love both cars here and whilst I can't separate them from the pictures supplied, the E-type came out in some dog **** versions.

Good shout.

I have deliberately avoided posting pics of a 2+2 or one of those late V12s in white with chrome steel wheels and whitewalls.

It does look like the 105 will end up as a plucky loser and I couldn't get too angry tbh. I didn't even nominate it myself.

Lovely thought of a consolation prize of best non-exotic award

Ah, did a mot check on the car i followed today - it was a 2+2 -they are thought of as not so good looking then? Only done 30k in 48 years according to its history

This may not work because I'm on my phone but this is a 2+2. The roofline is very different making the screen look very upright. The higher roof makes it look a bit like Quasimodo.

But then, to be fair, we aren't voting on every version of any candidate.

True. The E is probably the only one where there is a big difference between the prettiest version and the ugliest. With the Miura the nomination was specifically the SV which looks better than the plain one due to fatter tyres which fill the arches.
