The Citroen DS and the mighty Jensen Interceptor are tied for second. 1 day only. You decide.

I don't like either but I'll go for the one that looks least like a conservatory wearing Dame Edna's specs

Absolutely blinkered world view anticipated and fulfilled in one thread.

One is a historic, decades ahead of its time, work of automotive art. Technically brilliant. Futuristic. Practical.

One is a nice bruiser with advanced tractor mechanicals.

And we wonder how our simple, ape-like brains got to the moon.

I love both but the Jensen steals it for me.
Good job our subjectivity differs otherwise this would be a terribly boring life.

DS is the better car by far, yes.

Better looking? Not for me, sorry.

Easy one. Jensen is beautiful and the other is a hyped up PO French Shiite. Doesn't deserve to be here at all let alone in a play off.
Pleased to see it losing properly.

Folk that know me, know there is no love loss between myself and 99% of French cars. They're only here mostly down to the French government giving a helping hand. Not saying that's a bad thing because for their economy I think it is good. However it means they're still around for me to feel awful when I see them

It's funny that. Though an acquaintance of mine had a DS for a while. Just sitting in it was an unforgettable experience.

Astley, nr Leigh. I would love to drive your Laguna if it is an older model. Hired one once many years ago to drive down to Ash... something or other to board the train to of all places... France!

It was not half bad, decent inside but as ugly as ... outside. A few versions ago mind (1997 at a guess). Would not ever own one of course but there are worse places to sit.

If yours is one of the newer ones then not really, they are the type that exist because of the French government and as such did not have to be good.
I think I mis-informed earlier because it is only Renault/Citroen that had handouts, I think Peugeot have mostly stood on their own feet, though I am happy to be told otherwise.

I'm not going anywhere, I'm just going.
Statements above are all my own opinion and not fact.

It like this Malc.
Still ugly as sin but a nice place to be inside and, at risk of blowing away some misconceptions, really reliable.
I might be a bit late for tonight so I'll see you tomorrow........

No French company stands on its own. There are always gouv.fr
handouts and massive tax credits to hoover up.

"Did you write a PERL script to sort out some data? How many hours? That's an R&D tax credit right there!"

I have seen worse. A chap that used to work here had the hatchback version and previously had earlier versions. Swore by it and like you they never let him down.

Reliability is thrown around mostly by owners of German cars that 'think' they are top of the game. We all recognise the Japanese will wipe the floor with reliability against most of the competition although Korean cars are not far behind now IMHO.

I just won't ever be a fan of most French cars.
