WCOC Group 16

An estate car, a spaceship, a supercar that's cheap enough for you to dream about owning one, and more British beef.

Another group where I love all four cars.

I cannot separate them on looks so the question is which would I want on my drive, which narrows it down to the Jensen and the Citroen. The Maser GT is too exotic and I can't see myself throwing rubble in the Maser wagon to go to the tip. I think I'm going to go with the Citroen because I find it daring, striking, radical, different and a whole load of other things as well. It excites me in a way that the other don't.

Maserati 3200. It's about the only pretty Maserati ever made

I know what is underneath the Jensen but it looks boring. The Citroen looks stupid and the Quattroporte is an abomination. The standard car is much sleeker and may even have won this

The QP is ghastly, I think I'm actually going to have nightmares.

I love the 3200GT, the boomerangs but I don't feel like it's face is aging well.

The DS is just French loonasy but it's great

The interceptor is nice, British muscle car of sorts, I find it a little odd looking though with the large rear hatch bubble thing.

I can't believe it but I think I'm going to vote for the French tat

ooh, for me this is a group of death, and very cruelly so.
Immediately discount the 3200gt for not being an estate car...
... If sif and harvo hadn't nominated the DS and Jensen respectively I would have ... so I'll need to agonise at length before making a choice.

Office Chair.

Look what POS is winning FFS.
It was a choice between the 3200 and the Interceptor. I am smitten with Massers so it got my vote.
The Citroen; If this thing wins the WC I'm off.

Went for the Jensen in the end, it was a childhood dreamcar.

Another awkward group but another where it's eay to half the contestants.

Both Masers fall for the same reasons others mention. Maseratis are supposed to be achingly desirable whereas these newer ones are lacking for various reasons on that particular front.

That leaves us with the sci-fi innovation of the DS and the coachbuilt by Touring style of the Jensen evoking playboy excesses and technical innovation with the FF.

But its on looks.

I like both. However, the Frenchie still looks otherworldly outrageous and classy after all these years so it gets my vote. Sorry Malc.

I like the Citroen a lot. But it doesn't have the looks of the Jensen...

Yes. That is precisely why in our household, we bought one Alfa Romeo; but then thought that we would throw caution to the wind, and get another one, because the 147 is so ugly.

But I was thinking of dumping them for a Perodua Myvi, and a Mitsubishi I-MIEV, because they look much better.

When will the orange 'MG' join the fleet then?

(Never heard of the Perodua Myvi - sounds like an ice lolly )

There are a set of criteria:

1) When I get a job.
2) When I get a well paid job, 130 years later.
3) When I can find an MG SV that isn't hidden in a specialist collection for 500,000,000 by that time

But when I do, I'll be 'round at Keithyboy's house doing donuts outside. He'll absolutely love it.
