WCOC Group 12

Another British bruiser, another Italian aristocrat, a bona fide rally weapon, and an upstart from Japan.

Aston for me. I imagine the BRZ is probably brilliant to drive but the styling is typically modern Japanese with too many grilles, scoops and twiddly bits. I've never been mad keen on the Montreal for similar reasons. The Stratos is bold, daring and striking but I'm not sure whether it's good looking or just odd. The Aston just looks great from it's chunky wire wheels, to the low stance, to the air intakes ready to suck in anything that isn't nailed down. It looks purposeful and I think I prefer it to the Zagato.

Auto Express - six issues for a quid. Offer must end soon (and then immediately start up again).

Think a mod can add one... or maybe delete this thread and do it again?

Didnt think you could do it once up and running... but you managed it

Struggling with this one. The Stratos is a great car, legendary in rally, but I don't think its particularly good looking - it's unique looking but not beautiful.

The Montreal is great, like an Italian muscle car.

I much prefer the DB5 to the 4, the 4 is a little too roundy, the 5 is much classier - it had better be on the list too if not shame on us all for missing it.

The BRZ is nice enough for a modern car but a little bland when compared to some of the quality in the rest of the competition.

Love the Montreal..... just not quite as much as the DB4 which is my easy first choice here.

The 'other two' are in a much lower league looks wise imo.

Grilles, scoops and twiddly bits?

Where?

It has a grille. One. It has two fog lights in black surrounds. Normal. It has to faux vents, one on either side. Normal - possibly unnecessary, but normal for many cars (including Alfas, and the DB4) to have some adornment there. At the back it has one, smallish wing. Normal. A faux diffuser in black plastic with two exhaust pipes integrated into it. Normal for the 2010s.

Where are the "grilles, scoops and twiddly bits"?

I'm not saying I particularly like the styling. It's pretty bland and I have no idea why someone would want to list it as a contender for the most beautiful car ever. The only particularly good parts of the design to my eye are the overall proportions and the surfacing above the rear wheel.

Aston.
Love the stratos but it's not a conventional looker.
Scooby is too modern for me and I've never warmed to the Montreal. Looks like it's half asleep.

The Stratos is very good looking from many angles - but not from all. It is a little truncated which makes it look squat from some.

BRZ is nothing even vaguely special.

Monty is gorgeous, but Aston is divine.

Again an easy choice for me....DB4, and I like that colour.

That angle on the Montreal isn't very flattering, it looks like a Miura on stilts with a Charger face

I'd probably say the Aston from this group. That's not because I think it is beautiful, more that it is the least ugly of the four

The train :(

Who nominated the Subaru? Whoever voted for it must be the nominator, otherwise it has got nul points written over it.

Aston. All day. And all night.

An easier group.

The Aston walks away with it.
Virtually no contest from the plucky BRZ which is still wondering how it qualified for a World Cup.
The Montreal and Stratos battled out the runners up spot for me. Both great in different ways but not quite able to live with the suave Brit.

I believe it was nominated by Gazza82 who owns one.

Office Chair.

That was another difficult one, well almost. The Aston was always going to take it. DB4's 5's and 6's are up there with Muiras and Ferrari 250's.

I adore the Montreal but if I'm honest (and my mummy said I should always be honest) I like it because it reminds me of the Muira (same designer IIRC). So it's a replica (runs fast awayyy). Still a favourite of mine though.
Stratos in another group would have won. Subaru/GT86 I'm sure a great car and not a bad looker but not in this group.

I'm not going anywhere, I'm just going.
Statements above are all my own opinion and not fact.
