WCOC Group 7

Another group of death (though Gaz may not agree).

We have the car that alternated with the Bandit Trans Am as the dream car of my youth in the form of the Charger
The Alpine 110 (doing what it did in the picture)
The first of the V8 Corvettes
The E-Type (imagine how this must have looked in a sea of grey porridge when introduced)

I love all four of these but i have to pick one so.....

'Vette - I prefer the 60s ones
Alpine - they always look a bit thrown together
Charger - Screen icon (or was that just Daisy Duke) with incredibly graceful flowing lines for an American. Backed up by some serious pre-smog firepower.
E-Type - in early hardtop form just stunning so, narrowly, it wins for me.

Laguna, Elgrand

Got to go with my nomination but up against strong opposition with the E type.

Office Chair.

That was tough. The alpine (no capital letter for this) is an easy no. POFS. The E-type or Charger though... and even that Vette.

E type has never floated my boat for some reason, dont dislike them or anything daft like that, and realise what a ground breaking car it was when it came out - I just don't think its that good looking - much prefer the c type

Well not the best looking car ever but as an icon, it's up there. I prefer the looks of K.I.T.T though.
Am I showing my age?

You probably have a point. The wheels, for instance, sit far too far in under the car

But then it's got probably the easiest path into the knockout stage when up against two pieces of slab fronted American crap and a little frog trading on history alone

I dearly love Alpines and though I have always had reservations about E type's wheel to body relationship it has to win on looks here.
