Re: New Ferrari: truth or myth?

I think they will build an entry level car but it will be a 2 seater not a 2+2.. I've voted yes anyway though.

Ferrari a profit making organisation first and foremost, even if they think 'demeaning' the brand by building an entry level car will cost them some top end sales they know they'll make more out of the entry level car so they'll do it..

Re: New Ferrari: truth or myth?

My views were clear in the other marques thread - I think they will do it at around £100 - 110k just to get people into the cars with the belief that when they have more money they will trade up to one of the more expensive cars in the range - brand loyalty.

Re: New Ferrari: truth or myth?

Yes, if you call a car that costs £100K + entry level.

There is definitely room in the range without affecting their sister brand (Maserati).

But it will down to the marketeers. If they can identify a cohort at that spend level who fit Ferrari brand values, then it will be a no-brainer.

Looking at it the other way round......

Lots of people said no-one would buy a £100K+ Alfa..........

They are 7.5K. Which is good value compared to the 12K home gym.

Shocking - but if I need more exersize I would buy a lambo Countach - heavy steering / clutch etc - cost a lot more but far more fun.

Yeah but at least you could say you ride around on a Ferrari - much better than saying I've got 3 x 166's.

then again you would need 3 off 166's to keep yourself on the road when the others are in the garage (Only kidding).

Re: New Ferrari: truth or myth?

I will qoute my friend here:

" Until Montezemollo will be THE boss there will be no such thing as cheap Ferarri, Ferarri SUV, Ferarri diesel and 4dr Ferarri"

I hope it will be like that

But there was one 2+2 already wasn't? 575? Just 5 days back I was in Maserati, Lamborghini and Ferarri museum and I remember 575 because of it's fine looking interior which was untypically Ferarri, too cousy on the first look

Good old Alfa reliability - what about one as spares for the bodywork that is going to rust away.

Bloody hope so - its a right pain as I now have to go in and then go back out without the keys and make sure its locked.

Also the petrol cap is coming loose on the hinge - small issues that can be resolved when the service is due.
