September run time folks,

Hopefully the haar and drizzle will have receded by the 28th!

A wee run along some great roads and a spot of lunch someplace nice. I'm thinking down the A92 past some nice wee villages and then cut across in land and up to the Glen Clova for a spot of lunch.

Meet up in Stonehaven Square at 10 for 1030 departure.

Please let me know if you can come. It will probably be the last for some of the older cars before they go off the road but we are planning another run in October so keep your eyes peeled.

If you've never been on one before why not come along - its a good change to meet up and have a great drive and a nice spot of lunch. It would be great to see some of the newbies.

Cheers

Stuart

Someone at Goodwood last weekend left their's in a field overnight - it looked very lonely first thing Saturday morning

Maybe they were hoping it would grow into an 8C if they watered it and let it grow naturally?

nah, this time of year you'd need to put a cover on it first or it wont sprout!

Folks - change to Meeting Point.

New meeting place will be the leisure centre car park on the north side of Stonehaven next to the open air pool. Time won't change.

Any plans as to the direction of the run? A couple of people may not make it for 10 so were wanting to catch up? Or meet at lunchtime?

From Stoney at 1030 down the coastal route thru Inverbervie to Montrose. Then inland on towards Brechin, a short trip down the A90 and across and up onto the B955 up to the Glen Clova Hotel where lunch is booked for 12.30.

Timing will very much depend on traffic not so much in terms of actual busy roads more likely something wide slow and tractor-y getting in the way.

Excellent run today - thanks to everyone who came along

The "Grand Depart" from Stonehaven was extra special with three 4Cs in attendance! Great run up to the Glen Clova Hotel for a splendid lunch and even a little soft rain didn't spoil things. Really enjoyed playing with a couple of 4Cs on the way home.

Spider into hibernation tomorrow so this was a really great way to close the summer "season"!

Looking forward to the next run in October

Glad I came along to meet up this morning, gutted that I couldn't do the run. Daphne Broon would have enjoyed a play with the 4C's!!!

Great day, even 40 mile an hourers on the way home couldn't take the smile away! 4C managed 35.4 mpg - better than the Mito going into town!

Home at 5:15, washed, rinsed, leathered off and tucked away in the garage... And the car as well

BTW - there is a God! As I folded the Spider's hood down this evening, the pin that had disappeared from the O/S hood hook yesterday fell into my lap! Must have got lodged somewhere in the fabric.

Hood now all fixed!

I knew it was just an excuse to have the top down and listen to the rumble behind you (and I'm not talking about dodgy prawns from lunch!)

It was a great day, shame I didn't have my spider, but the gods were indeed out and it was just a flat battery. Unfortunately she's now off the road til next year.

Never mind.

Grand day out for everyone. One more in October and that about wraps it up for the year officially - unless we have a good November and December.....

Thanks to everyone who made the effort to come along or just pop in past - first time in a while we've had numbers like that, and of course everyone's head was turned and quite a few jaws were dropped by the 4C's. Good to meet some new folks.
