Diamond cut repair/touch up

Hey all,

The wife has marked scratched the 18" turbine diamond cut alloy on my new Giulietta !

Any recommendations for touch or repair shops in the Ellon, Inverurie, Aberdeen areas?

I understand it not as straight forward to repair as normal alloys......?

Cheers.

.

You are right - it isn't. Western sent mine to somewhere in England (it might have been Milton Keynes).

I did take them to a place near the airport first - they sent them to England as well, but the repairers returned them untouched - I think they chickened out!"

Cheers for the suggestions guys.

The damage is only slight but obvious because the wheel colour is dark. I have heard of Smart Techniques, i'll give them I try since they're local and convenient. Will post how it goes...

I've gubbed 2 of the AMG diamond cut wheels.

I'm informed the only place in Scotland that re cut them on site is diamond wheels tech in Dundee.

If you find anywhere else let me know as it ain't cheap and puts the car off the road.

My car has different width front and rear tyres to complicate things.

...mito has plain powder coated alloys, get them fixed anywhere!

Glasgow wheel specialist I believe send them down south, so you're stuck for 10 days. I may as well send them direct to Lepsons if doing that.

60 + vat per wheel for 20" wheels on an X5 is what we pay, no idea if we get a discount or not.

That's rather affordable, I will call for a quote then may refer back to you if it's quite a bit more.

Then you can ignore me/ tell me to **** off!

Thanks chief.

Who said that?

Busy place, seems reasonably priced, give them a buzz. Emma, the reception girl is very helpful, and makes a braa cup of tea!

I am putting together a kit for polishing diamond cut wheels. It will be for polishing only, not filling. The replacing of missing metal so that it can then be polished is a specialist job beyond the scope of a DIY kit. The polishing kit will enhance the look of alloys and where there is metal missing, the damaged part can be smoothed and polished.
