cheers Graham, as I said to you at the Marcliffe last year, her primary 'worry' is having to go South for services etc, but as you said then you can do the driving bitty back and forth.
On the plus side, she drove an A3 2L TDI 'sport' 170 bhp (in quotes as there was nothing sporty about it, it was quite slow IMO) at the weekend and was dissappointed with it. Uncomfy seats and unbeievably no cruise control (400 retro fit option) plus it had a broken wing mirror, not a great advert for a car on a dealers forecourt!!

You've got the number. 170 diesel is a peach of an engine, especially in Dynamic mode. Don't let the distance be an issue, I'm happy to offer my services FOC.

Strangely enough my boss had one of those and I took it over the Cairn one night in sport mode and didn't notice any difference. It still understeered and made a good run crap!
Terrible thing in the wet and don't mention snow...

Garage
Can vouch for the JTDm 170 - a beast in D mode and makes my drives from Glasgow to Crail a hoot. Open road runs are delivering me around 47 mpg and I don't hang around much.

Personally if I weren't doing 16K per year I'd have a 170MA I think though . . . . .

Great car, Mrs I loves hers.

And it's great fun in Dynamic and great in the snow, ice and wet in Active too.

The sales goon at Western isn't a bad lad, give him a chance....

Well, I think I have both good and bad news, we had a trip to Westerns at Perth yesterday, and Guiliettas were driven! so it looks like we have a winner folks! HID hasn't picked a car yet but she has a penchant for a 2.0 170 or 140 Veloce!

In her words she couldn't find anything else with the looks, the spec, power and drivability in any other car at a similar price point.

That's the good news, the bad news is my sacrifice, my Bella GT has found another owner to love and cherish her. She is still local so I will still see her.

Well a quick update....

My Bella is now in the loving care of another who I know will give her the love and attention she deserves.

It seems that finding the perfect G is not as easy as we first thought, diesel was an definate but now HID is wavering for petrol as well. But we haven't driven a petrol so if anyone in Aberdeen has a 1.4 170bhp we could have a scooch round and possibly a little test then please pm me. I have spoken to Kevin regarding the loan car but he has since given it back.

Can anyone help us please.

Thanks
