Found the car and was readvertised with new Mot so I missed that regretfully.
If anyone knows of a 156, 147 needing repair like an engine then please let me know .
My own 145 is about had it and not worth repairing , the engine is sound and I would just swap it .
The airbag ecu is knackered and ABS ECU as well. So not worth the hastle.

I have a sele that needs engine work. It's up in Caithness though. Has around 10 months MOT but no tax. Compression is really low on one cylinder and sounds like piston slap.

Gear box is working perfectly though. It had a new actuator before i got it and I changed the brushes on the pump as they had completely worn.

Many thanks to both of you will give it some thought , unusual for one piston to go like that , however it can happen.

cheers Pat

Didn't get a lot more running out of it, just under 1000 miles I think! Only got it back on the road in September. I was planning to use it as a winter runabout this year but the engine noise and loss of compression made me take it off the road again. Not had chance to look into it yet and weather is too rubbish to work on it. Might have a look in the summer to see if it can be fixed fairly easily or else I'll end up breaking it.

It was a shame as it seemed to be running really well at first and got it through an MOT no bother after sorting a few minor issues from it being standing around so long.

I took the leather interior, bose and the wheels with winter tyres for my old 147. I took the bose system out before I sold it so put that back in the sele but the leather and wheels went with that.

I might be letting go of my 2.0 Tspark Lusso - just failed it's mot with a long list that puts repair out of my budget, I don't have a drive/garage so DIY isn't an option and it is too nice a car to scrap in my opinion. Silver with red leather interior, 56k on the engine - no history....

Stick it in the for sale section and also the classified section.

There is not a huge amounf wrong with it , but the floor has had a good weld in the past and it needs a bit more now , the abs is fixed, and so ihas the airbag light , it goes great , and does not look in the same condition as yours!
