Drunk The Mearns Chapter Christmas Nicht Oot

Hi folks, after a prompt from Mike a few weeks back, we are thinking about having a night out for a meal in The Mearns area over the festive period. Of course, our friends from further afield are more than welcome to attend.

We have a number of members either in or around Laurencekirk, so we reckoned The Alma Indian restaurant in the village would be a sensible enough option, and would also allow those who wanted to have a small sherry to accompany their meal to do so.
Who else would be keen on this?

If it can be worked out...... soundmixer is not that far away from the 'kirk.
So if he and his other half can put up with me and Mrs Y coming down for a night or two then we might well be up for it.

Sound like a plan.
The Youngs are always welcome in Edzell Woods
And the Alma is a favourite so me and Mrs Soundmixer are in.

How good is it and how far away from me.

Off to Giggle Mr Kirk Lawrence...thot that was thon actor bloke who did wawrence of awabia.

Then again petrol in a 3.2 up there I could get loads curries in Glesca.

Now I am like a dog equidistant between two lamposts.

We're aboot 25 miles sooth o Aberdeen, so it'll be a bit of a trek for a tasty curry. You'd be more than welcome though, and I could give you the phone number of my "local" as they have some rooms for Bed and Breakfast.

do you have a rough date in mind?
I have suggested to SWMBO and we would need to organise a sitter

I'm struggling for time in the run up to Christmas. My social calender has more or less been filled between no and next year. What I'm thinking now is something in the New Year. Thoughts???

Might be easier for me and Mrs Soundmixer and Mr n Mrs INS147.
Still want it to happen though. A bunch of Alfas outside the Alma would be really cool

I have to say I really have no social slots free this year, but I am totally up for a curry "doon the road" in the New Year.
