I was talking to a few of you at the Italian Car day at Craigtoun park on Sunday about this event that i have been part of in some way throughout the years and was hopeing that it would be of interest to you all as a great day out and showing off the Alfa's.

This event is open to all of alfaowner.com members and would be great to have as good a turnout as we had at The Italian Car Show.

I have given a link to the Seafront's page.
Please go and have a look and if interested please put your name down so we can get numbers sorted out so i can get car passes sorted out (PASSES ARE FREE BUT YOU CANT ENTER WITHOUT ONE)

Aye, or frostbite! I used to work in Arbroath and know all about the biting wind there. You're right though, if the sun is shining it will be a good day. I remember going there for the Angus Show years ago before it moved to Brechin. If the sun was out then you were guaranteed being sunburnt
Hope I can make it

Is there any way that this event can be posted in South Scotlands area events?

I was at this a few years back - there was a haar hanging about and the airshow was cancelled, but we still got burnt to bits

Great day out with lots to do for all the family. I'll let you know soon if I will be able to make it.

Any excuse to get away from the inevitable weekend paintpot and brush.

Fantastic folks numbers are growing.
Tell me do we have such a thing as a club banner to let the public know who we are and if so can it be brought to this event?

There's only one for the whole of the country (or the world, if you want to get technical ),
We now have an Alfa Romeo one as well (one of you two should have that), which belongs to AOS . I was thinking, if we ever get round to sorting out that Gazeebo kitty, we might be able to streach to a pennant that we might be ale to use with the AR flag :thinks:
I think we could have a gazeebo donations bucket at Hopetoun, what-da-ya think?

Also, should have mentioned that we (AOS) have part of the AR centenary banner and a white AR tarpolen banner, both of which we accidentally acquired

I have a gazebo that'll I'll happily lend for hopetoun if needed. It's about 3m square. Halfords have them for a reasonable price, and it seems pretty sturdy.

So long as all the 'bits' are there and we aren't scrabbling around for cable ties and duck tape like last year

I'll try to remember cable ties and Gaffer tape this year

Also, just realised that this event is on the day I come back from me hols and it would make an ideal rest stop on the way home

Changed to a "No" now. Got Louise's wee sisters wedding on the Friday, then a big Family BBQ on the Saturday.
