Exactly! I felt insulted to see it described as merely "a car"...

I saw the tittle and thought that oor "STU" had retraded his BIG JAG furra GTV and had rejoined us again...I just cannot keep up with all the car changes

" A car passes through the smoke at Torridon"

If it was like oor stu's (Stu the Flat...Stu the hoose...to Sir Stu) 166 that's what caused the fire in the first place.

Is there a link to it on Flickr with greater resolution? I think saving that image and enlarging it won't have the desired effect.

This seems like an oportune moment to just remind people that we should all remember that any photos posted by members still belong to the photographer who took it. Much as Fraser and others are happy to let us use the photos for personal use, we should have the good grace to seek their permission if we want to use the pictures elsewhere that may be considered as 'public' consumption.

I don't mind about the permission, as long as the photograph is for personal use, although I would like a credit where photographs are posted on other forums or people are posting them in their own galleries etc. I would, however, be more than a little upset if people were selling the photographs on or submitting them as competition entries or looking to make huge prints to hang on the wall of their garage or business without permission or payment (and, yes, these things do happen).

I wanted to see more of the GTV, on my monitor it's as wide as the tip of my little finger.

It's not for reuse of putting on another forum - I was just wondering if there was another pic where I could crop it down, take out the left 3/4, crop the foreground, and crop the background just above the horizon. Just more car, less scenery. The smoke reminds of the Berlin, Takes my breath away Pug 405 TV adverts.

Your white GT shots, or some of them are on my hard drive and one is on my camera phone.

It wsn't a dig at you or anyone else in particular Monza. It just needs saying when there's a pile of cool pics around. I'm as guilty as the next Alfisti when it comes to showing off nice photos , e.g. the sig pic I use was taken by Fraser and I forgot to ask until I asked for an edit :loony:

I've not taken it as a dig . No worries.

My evening is going OK. Partially helped by a link to some of Fraser's pics. I'm not sure if it was the images of the sheep or the claret red 159 Estate in front of a wall that has me smiling.
